LOCATIONS

Welcome to Jeno's Restaurant & Lounge, a delightful culinary gem nestled at 123 E Main St, Monroe, WA 98272. As a food reviewer for Restaurant World, I can confidently say that this charming, locally-owned establishment has curated a reputation that resonates with both locals and visitors alike. With a rich history dating back to 1970, Jeno's has become a beloved destination for those craving authentic Italian and pizza dishes that are bursting with flavor.

What sets Jeno's apart? It’s their commitment to quality that shines through in every dish. Patrons rave about their fantastic pizzas, with unique combinations that include the Italian Sausage and Mushrooms pizza for $12.99, and the popular Canadian Bacon and Pineapple pizza for $13.99. The homemade sauces and perfectly baked crusts elevate the experience, leaving customers like Christyn Johnson declaring it among the best pies they've tasted in years.

  • Hearty Portions: Not only are the flavors top-notch, but the portions are generous, ensuring you get your money's worth. As noted in the review from Amanda Baker, Jeno's offers huge servings, particularly with dishes like the baked spaghetti with meatballs.
  • Consistency & Tradition: With patrons returning for over 15 years, the consistency in food quality is a hallmark of this establishment. Reviews highlight favorites such as the lasagna with spare rib and classic breakfast offerings, showcasing the restaurant's ability to cater to various tastes.
  • Exceptional Service: The staff at Jeno's, including the praised servers Kim and Sylvia, enhance the dining experience. Their attentiveness and warm approach create a welcoming atmosphere that is often noted by diners in their reviews.
  • Affordable Prices: Value for money is another major takeaway, as diners appreciate the reasonable pricing paired with the quality of food. Most dishes are priced under $15, making it a fitting option for families and groups.

While Jeno's is celebrated for its delicious food and inviting service, it's worth noting that they operate on a cash-only basis, which some visitors find inconvenient. However, the warmth of the staff and the quality of the dishes make it a minor detail in the grand scheme of a delightful dining experience.

Fantastic pizza! Small locally owned business in Monroe. The crust is awesome! Their prices are incredibly fair. We've tried several different items and they don't disappoint.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in years- homemade sauce and crust. SO delicious ! If you’re lucky enough to have Kim as your waitress- the whole experience will be exactly what you expect from an independent small town pizza joint.

Food always so good and consistent (We been eating here for 15 years). My favorite is lasagna with spare rib. There was so much food we took home leftover. Both lasagna and club sub. Also, recently went to Jeno's and forgot my wallet. Sylvia (hope I spell her name right) found my wallet by where we sat and drove to my address to give to me. 10 out of 5 on service. Thank you so much, Sylvia

We came to Monroe to get our truck serviced at Smiley’s and while we were in the waiting room we met a very friendly local who recommended us to Jeno’s for some good food. We decided to try it out and I’m so happy we did!! The prices were reasonable, portions were huge, and delicious! My husband got the baked spaghetti with meatballs and I got the spare rib in baked spaghetti because it intrigued me. The rib was super tender and flaked apart in the dish, it was boneless but I wouldn’t even have cared if there was a bone in it as it was amazing! They only take cash as others have already pointed out which is fine. They had it clearly marked on the window. When we come back in town we will be eating here again!!

I visited this restaurant recently and had a decent experience. I really liked the bread — it was fresh and tasty. I tried their lasagna, but it was a little different from what I’m used to, and honestly, it wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t bad, just not quite my style. The place itself was okay — clean and comfortable enough, but nothing particularly memorable about the atmosphere. Overall, it was an average visit. I might come back to try something else on the menu, but probably not for the lasagna.

Crystal was a great server and the hostess was so sweet. First time there for breakfast, and we weren’t disappointed! Portions were large and prices were reasonable. We’ll be back!

Recent update: Still very good. In business since 1970, and not much has changed. 70s style Italian/pizza joint. Cash only. Food is typical for the era, and very well done. Prices rock, making this one of the best values out there. Old review: Had planned on a different restaurant that was not open that evening. Good find. Reminds me of the 70's Italian places we always had. Cash only (I missed the sign, but we made it work). Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, is because of the cash-inconvenience. If (when) they change that, it will accommodate most people. Friendly service, quiet enough for normal table conversation, food was piping hot and very tasty. The pizza was a nice balance of flavors and wonderful smells, The pasta/sausage dish was great. Wife loved her sandwich. Reasonable prices too. Pizza was to-go because our other stuff was that good.
